Welcome to Waipuna Hospice

TuiWaipuna Hospice is an Incorporated Society providing palliative care to the Western Bay of Plenty community with services from Paengaroa to Waihi Beach.

Hospice staff care for each person as an individual, taking into account the person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.  We encourage people who are terminally ill and their families to maintain independence.  We provide support, assistance and information and work in partnership with the patient's General Practitioner.

A Card for any Occasion

We took last year's sell-out success of our blank cards as a good sign and have put together a gorgeous new selection of images which include a couple of the old favourites.  Photographs of flowers and native plants in our hospice grounds feature in the packs of ten cards with envelopes.  Available from Waipuna Hospice, our secondhand shops, Palmers Welcome Bay and Bethlehem or online.  $10 a pack, with every dollar going to Waipuna Hospice, thanks to the generous sponsorship of RHB Chartered Accountants.

Time to Remember

Jo Seagar

Hospice Ambassador Jo Seagar writes in the introduction to her gorgeous book 'The Cook School Recipes':

"Getting together around a table to share a meal builds friendships and knits families together - there is so much more to it than just body fuel."

How nice would it be to share a meal with friends and family, while at the same time raising funds for Waipuna Hospice? Time to Remember is the opportunity to do just that. All you need to do is get a group of people together, plan a meal as simple or as lavish as you choose, and guests make a donation to Waipuna Hospice. You could order in pizza, serve cupcakes and tea, take a picnic (and a cosy knee rug!) to your favourite spot, or execute a fine dining extravaganza.

For more information email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or phone 5524380 and all the new material (including recipe suggestions from Jo Seagar) will be sent to you. It’s always Time to Remember how special life is.
